Pic: Paul O’Connell forever emblazoned in Munster rugby thanks to new Limerick mural

A worthy tribute

JOE

Better be back soon Paulie, they’re looking for you already.

Off to foreign shores, Paul O’ Connell is breaking many hearts as he gets set to start his season abroad with the French team Toulon.

But back in Limerick they are determined to ensure the fiery redhead is not forgotten in his absence.

A mural has been painted on Musgrave street, Limerick with a rhyme ensuring the Toulon boys know the rugby legend is only on loan.

The mural has gone down a treat with locals who are only delighted to remember the local man with a massive mural to thank him for his impressive performances since joining the pack in 2001.

Sure ’tis only a stretch of water in the difference, but for now, the Munster legend will be missed.
