With one line and one emoji, Richie Hogan sums up how we all feel.

We knew it was coming, but that doesn’t mean we were emotionally prepared for Henry Shefflin’s retirement announcement today and the impact it would have on the GAA community. There were reportedly grown men in tears when Henry announced his decision in Langton’s in Kilkenny this afternoon and we can safely say we’ve never seen as much GAA man-love on Twitter as the tributes have poured in thick and fast since. None of them, however, got to us the way the tribute by Henry’s long-time team-mate and Hurler of the Year Richie Hogan did. https://twitter.com/richiehogan8/status/580722153173229569 We think there’s something in our eye.
