We knew it was coming, but that doesn’t mean we were emotionally prepared for Henry Shefflin’s retirement announcement today and the impact it would have on the GAA community. There were reportedly grown men in tears when Henry announced his decision in Langton’s in Kilkenny this afternoon and we can safely say we’ve never seen as much GAA man-love on Twitter as the tributes have poured in thick and fast since.
