The provincial club championships are in full swing at the moment and one of the many great games over the weekend was at McHale Park in Castlebar where St Brigids took on Ballintubber in the Connacht semi final.
The Mayo side won the game by 3-10 to 1-13 with intercounty star Cillian O'Connor hugely influential scoring 1-3 for his side. The goal he scored into the St Brigids' net went past one of the great GAA characters in Shane "Cake" Curran.
The 43-year-old, who has been through it all before, clearly took the loss as badly as anyone on the pitch. The pain of the defeat can been seen clearly in these pictures taken after the game and especially during his moment with Cillian O'Connor.
It really illustrates just how much the club mean to players.
