PIC: Sligo man at the base of the Irish-coloured Eiffel Tower captures this superb image

Colm Boohig

Incredible.

Sligo native Cathal Collins made it just in time for Amhrán na bhFiann when Ireland played Sweden in their Euro 2016 opener. His flight only arrived earlier in the afternoon, so it was a tight squeeze to make it into the Stade de France before kick-off.

However, make it he did, and if the match itself was worth the rush, then the sight that Cathal captured at the base of the Eiffel Tower afterwards was definitely a bonus.

You might recall that the world-famous landmark lit up with the Irish colours on Monday night, and this is when the Sligo man managed to take this superb picture.

That’s just damn right pretty.
