Raheem Sterling has been going through a difficult enough time of it of late.
Last night, The Sun published footage of him using a legal high and featured him on their front page today, a development which followed a recent picture that circulated of him smoking a Shisha pipe and ongoing speculation about his contract issues with Liverpool.
Sterling, to his credit, has been upfront about the issues regarding his Liverpool contract, but the other controversies could easily have been avoided if the company he has been keeping weren’t so eager to put it out in the public domain.
Brendan Rodgers and others at Liverpool will no doubt be on hand to provide Sterling with advice in the near future, but Stan Collymore was on hand to dish some out for free on Twitter earlier.
Collymore, a former Liverpool striker himself, didn’t beat around the bush when addressing the issue of the youngster’s mates and his use of asterisks when referring to The Sun tell you all you need to know about his opinion of the red-top.
