The bromance is still very much alive.

Once upon a time not too long ago, Steven Gerrard and Fernando Torres were tearing it up together for Liverpool in the Premier League, as they enjoyed a lethal partnership in the attacking third.

Fast forward a short while later, and Torres’ career derailed to such an extent, that he was often a figure of parody and ridicule.

Nevertheless, after spells with Chelsea and AC Milan, El Nino is back home with Atletico Madrid and thriving once more.

On Saturday night, his beloved side face fierce rivals Real Madrid in the Champions League final, looking to avenge their defeat from 2014.

Former Liverpool captain Gerrard clearly still has a lot of affection for his old teammate, judging by this wonderful good luck message that the LA Galaxy midfielder posted on Instagram for his pal ahead of the big match.

It reads; “I hope you achieve your life long dream tonight and become a champions league winner with your home town club . Good luck amigo.”

We imagine that a lot of Liverpool fans will echo that sentiment.
