We think it is safe to say that the Gus Poyet era isn’t off to a great start. A 4-0 thumping at the hands of Swansea on Saturday means that the Black Cats are still rooted to the foot of the Premier League and they look a long way off being a side that can change that any time soon.
As is normal, all the papers have big football pullouts today and the Mirror’s coverage of the Sunderland game is easily the best, thanks to one very funny panel.
