PIC: The Man United Twitter account was asking for trouble with this Marouane Fellaini tweet
The response was pretty inevitable in fairness.
Major sporting organisations have a pretty patchy record when it comes to social media over the years and Manchester United’s Twitter account hasn’t exactly covered itself in glory at times.
Last night, they were highlighting the contributions that some of the squad made on international duty, including Marouane Fellaini, whose Belgium side secured Euro 2016 qualification with a win over Andorra.

Now we’re well aware of the fact that they were congratulating him on his role in the entire qualifying campaign, but most Twitter users were quick to jump on the ‘unused sub’ aspect of last night’s post.

Twitter can be a cruel, cruel place at times.
