Please let this become a permanent fixture…

In case you hadn’t heard, the bold Ross O’Carroll-Kelly is releasing yet another book this week, called Keeping up with the Kalashnikovs. With his fame is Ireland now so massive we reckon Rosser could give BOD a run for his money in the ‘one word name recognition’ stakes so we didn’t think he would need a promotional push but we are really glad they have.

Blue plaques to celebrate the great man’s deeds about town are being erected, with one outside his current home The Irish Times for example.

But it is the one outside his favourite nightspot, Lillie’s Bordello, that is the pick of the bunch.

In our mind, it should be the new first port of call for tourists, way ahead of Molly Malone, the Storehouse and Trinity. And we really hope they leave the sign up long after the book hits the shelves tomorrow, September 9.
