We’d be upset if we lost this beaut as well.
JOE has been sent some cracking Irish Euro 2016 flags ahead of the big kick-off, including tributes to Bill O’Herlihy, Shane Long and Father Dougal himself.
One really special example that we received was this fantastic Brady Bunch-themed Robbie Brady flag, courtesy of John Kane and his friends, from Shankill in Dublin, who are heading off to France to support the team.
However, on Friday night, during Ireland’s friendly draw with The Netherlands at the Aviva, the lads’ flag went missing, and their none the wiser as to its whereabouts.
Garreth MacNamee tweeted about what happened, before asking Irish football hero Kevin Kilbane to help them in their search.
So we hung our flag in section 516 and some scum robbed it
Any chance of some RTs to get it back?#COYBIG pic.twitter.com/PVYOksllFz— Garreth MacNamee (@garmacnamee) May 27, 2016

John Kane, who originally sent us to flag, explained events to JOE:
“We were at the Aviva last night and our flag got taken from the stands”, said the Irish fan.
“We hung it over the railings before the game and it was gone by the end (asked stewards, Aviva, guards and lost and found and they didn’t take it in).”
“It’s two weeks until we leave now and we’re gutted!”
