Pic: These two funny Donegal banners will take pride of place outside Croke Park on All-Ireland Final Day

The good-natured ribbing between Donegal and Kerry fans has started already, it seems.

The good-natured ribbing between Donegal and Kerry fans has started already, it seems.

Most GAA fans are still trying to come to terms with what happened in the All-Ireland hurling final on Sunday, but soon attention will turn to matters in the big ball decider and you can expect the excitement to be ramped up to 11 in Kerry and Donegal over the next ten days or so.

Of course, you can also expect plenty of friendly rivalry between the two sets of supporters and it is Donegal who appear to have struck the first blow with a couple of banners that are in the hills at the moment but will be on show for all to see outside Croke Park on the day.

Made by screen printing and embroidery company Pure Savage (check them out on Facebook), both banners take a good-natured swipe at the boys from the Kingdom and we got a particularly good chuckle out of the second one, which, admittedly, might be a little risqué for some people’s tastes.

The folks at Pure Savage tell us that the banners will be on show at a house on Jones’ Road across from the Hogan Stand Entrance on the day of the game so keep an eye out for them on Sunday week; even if you’re not heading along to the Croker there’s a good chance these will be spotted on the box at some stage.

Donegal have laid down an early marker in the fan rivalry stakes; what you got in response Kerry?
