This is what the GAA means to people and it is wonderful…

This message, posted on the Wexford GAA Facebook page, was so moving that it was printed on the programme for the senior football final in Wexford at the weekend.

It was posted by Mavis Gallagher following Wexford’s replay win over Clare in this year’s senior hurling championship qualifiers and just before the Wexford hurlers took on Waterford. She took to Facebook to thank the players for giving her dying father ‘one last great memory’.
