We once had the pleasure of interviewing the legendary Ruby Walsh and one of the things that came up during our chat was the dangers of being a professional jockey.
It's pretty obvious that it's a dangerous sport but Ruby put the whole thing into context perfectly by pointing out that horse racing is the only sport where the competitors are followed around the course by an ambulance. Chew on that Ultimate Frisbee enthusiasts...
The amount of injuries top jockeys pick up during a career is probably far more than any other sport and this graphic of AP McCoy's breaks down through the years is just frightening...
