Pic: Umpire at Galway championship match spotted eating Supermac’s snack box during game

Mmmmmm

Conor Heneghan

So tasty and tempting he just couldn’t wait until after the match.

Supermac’s food is beloved by people throughout Ireland and even beyond, but it holds a special place in the hearts of the people of Galway, where the fast food chain started out in the late 1970s.

So beloved is it in Galway, in fact, that one umpire couldn’t resist feasting on a snack box during the senior camogie Championship encounter between Sarsfields and Castlegar at the weekend.

Granted, the picture above is a little blurry, but the JOE reader (who wanted to remain anonymous) who sent it our way insisted that the umpire was munching away right throughout the first half.

This guy is the type of official you’d want to call on when the chips are down… literally.
