Loughnane’s taking selfies now? Cyril Farrell and Pat Spillane will be at them next.

Clare club hurling team Parteen were defeated by Feakle in the Clare intermediate hurling final this afternoon, but what better way to cheer themselves up than by getting a selfie with Clare hurling legend Ger Loughnane afterwards…   There’s a lot to like about the photo above. For one, Loughnane seems to be great form. Two, he’s actually from Feakle so it was good of him to acknowledge the opposition after defeat and three, we don’t know if it was intentional on behalf of the photographer, but the word ‘craic’ couldn’t be more perfectly positioned in the background. As his colleague Cyril Farrell might say, Loughnane has taken to the selfie game like nuts to a monkey. Hat-tip to Joe O’Connor for sending this one our way
