Derek Jeter is hanging up his cleats, but he's always done well for himself off the field, as this lineup proves
With Derek Jeter breaking the news that 2014 is going to be his last year on the field for the New York Yankees, there have been plenty of people looking back on his career and thinking about his place among the lineup of the greats of the game. Even the most casual of sports fans over here will know the name of Jeter, and it might have more to do with his giant pay packet and his off-the-field pursuits than his impressive record on the diamond. What we're trying to say is that he managed to date a lot of women in his time as a well known athlete, and the folks at ESPN's SportsNation put together a 'diamond' of all of the famous models, actresses and musicians that have been spotted out and about with Jeter, and what positions they'd play in a defensive lineup.
Whatever way you want to put it, that's impressive even from a sheer numbers point of view. Being the helpful types that we are, we've decided to include a few pictures, just to refresh the memory, of course.
