Will Grigg’s fire has been extinguished.
Northern Ireland exited Euro 2016 on Saturday after losing 1-0 to Wales and with that, cult hero and Wigan Athletic striker Will Grigg left the party.
It was a tournament to remember for Michael O’Neill’s side, who performed so impressively, but Will Grigg didn’t manage to play a single minute, much to the chagrin of millions of people, after the 24-year-old inspired one of the most popular football chants in living memory.
It’s fair to say that people weren’t happy.

Really disappointing they haven't played Will Grigg once! I think momentum is huge in football and he deserved the opportunity! #NIR
