After just about securing their Premier League lives Aston villa will enter the 2013-14 season with a bit of optimism. Paul Lambert has already trimmed his squad, and would like to trim a few more (here’s looking at you Mr Ireland) but the big task is keeping Christian Benteke at the club.
The big Belgian was the reason Villa stayed up and for those Villa fans looking for omens that he will stay, the striker has been rolled out to launch the new kit for next season. That has to be good news, right?
Anyway, the home kit itself is very classy, though it is very similar to one West Ham had a few years back. The Villa away one last term was really good but the new quartered one doesn’t really do it for us but hey, every team has at least one bad kit these days.
