PICS: How crazy is one JOE reader to turn down this amazing offer to see McGregor v Aldo in Las Vegas?

He’d want a damn good excuse to turn this down.

Next Saturday night, Conor McGregor will take on Jose Aldo in what is being billed as one of the biggest fights in the history of the UFC. Amongst those in attendance at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas will be a sizeable contingent of Irish people who will have parted with large amounts of money for what is a once in a lifetime experience. Some people would sell their granny for a chance to be there with them and those people are likely to be fuming at one JOE reader, known only as Stephen, who turned down that opportunity despite his mate going to ridiculous lengths to get him to go along. You can see the text message exchanges between Stephen, referred to as Chickadee, and his mate, Paul, in full below. But to provide a brief summary, he has been offered free tickets to the fight, free accommodation in a suite in the MGM Grand and return flights that will cost him less than €500. And he's turning it down.         In fairness, setting up a business and his return from a two-week trip to Thailand is a decent excuse to miss out but he’s still mad, right?
