Pics: Irish lad from Tipp runs onto pitch after France game with Swizerland, gets tackled, laughed at by Giroud and arrested

Oisin McQuinn is his name and he spent three hours being interviewed by some scary Brazilians before being released.

We all love Apres Match but what one Irish fella did in Brazil apres the most recent French match landed him in a whole heap of trouble. Oisin McQuinn is in the middle of a trip around South America with a few friends and he made sure to be in Brazil to catch some of the World Cup. Smart move.

In Salvador he managed to get his hands on some pretty sweet tickets for France v Switzerland, and he enjoyed a doozy of a game, a 5-2 goalfest. Also a smart move. What happened next wasn’t such a good idea.

Togged out in loads of French body paint, and wearing just a pair of shorts, Oisin was overcome with emotion at the end of the game and tried to get onto the pitch to meet Karim Benzema. Very bad idea.

Oisin was quickly tackled by security, something which Olivier Giroud really enjoyed as this screengrab from L’Equipe shows.

Oisin troubles we’re only beginning though, as he was then escorted away for questioning.
