Rest in peace, Axel.

Munster Rugby and the wider sporting community remains in mourning following the sudden and devastating loss of Anthony ‘Axel’ Foley at the weekend, a giant described as “an incredible man” by his friend and former team-mate Ronan O’Gara. Tributes flowed in from all over once the news emerged on Sunday and in Paris, where Munster had been due to face Racing 92 in the Champions Cup, Munster fans gathered and sang ‘The Fields of Athenry’ in his memory. Keith Cunningham of the KC Show on Cork’s Red FM proposed that Munster fans wear their colours on Monday in honour of Foley’s memory and, as of 11am on Monday morning, it has already been met with a fantastic response. A fitting tribute. https://twitter.com/kcshowcork/status/787910348875583488 https://twitter.com/TomFoster24/status/787955408170323968 https://twitter.com/AvrilCrotty/status/787955038958260224 https://twitter.com/Aedraenodubh/status/787951469534253056 https://twitter.com/KikoMurphy/status/787950397520547840 https://twitter.com/iamcianmac/status/787947674813300736 https://twitter.com/HarveyRael1/status/787939554292563968 https://twitter.com/osullivan_fi/status/787939071184211968 https://twitter.com/Tonys_Ponies/status/787937612665327620 https://twitter.com/joedoc23/status/787934051432816640 https://twitter.com/kcshowcork/status/787932552271126528 https://twitter.com/Obuaigh/status/787927732399271936 https://twitter.com/medwardsmurphy/status/787924588088946688
