Pics: New Zealand clubs reveal their kits for the 2013/14 Super XV season
Super XV jerseys are very popular on these shores so here are some the designs we can look forward to seeing next season.
The new designs for the five New Zealand franchises have been revealed and Adidas can bask in the glory of what we feel.
The Blues region boasts the largest Polynesian population and well-known landmarks, so they feature on the home and away kits, while the Chiefs, the back-to-back Super League champions took the design very seriously indeed. The team met with Māori designer and artist Dave Burke to to create a jersey that “truly embraced their pride, passion and empathy with the central North Island”.
The Crusaders went with an armour-like design, the Highlanders kept to a traditional approach (The eight Celtic hoops represent the districts that make up the team) and the Hurricanes have gone for a vibrant yellow away number, a throw-back to the original Super Rugby strip for the Hurricanes.
As we said, the jerseys are popular among Irish sports fans and there are some classy looking kits coming soon for the new season.
