We see what you did there Nike…
The best player in baseball by some distance right now is Los Angeles Angels outfielder Mike Trout. Aged just 22, he had a superb debut season in 2012 and he has continued to thrive, racking up runs, stolen bases and a whole host of other impressive stats in his short career to date.
Trout was, of course, involved in last night’s All-Star game and his sponsors Nike presented him with some very special shoes to wear for the occasion that made a none-too subtle nod to his surname.
And how did Trout play in his fancy new kicks? He hit a double, a triple, had two RBIs and won the MVP.
Guess the shoes did the trick.
