One of the more surreal experiences that I’ve had when watching Bohemians in the League of Ireland was when I met President Michael D Higgins…twice.
As many of you know, our President is a huge supporter of soccer in this country as seen by his involvement with Galway United and highly commendable commitment to see as many matches from our league as possible.
When he isn’t taking in a game, it seems that President Higgins has some other duties to perform as seen by this recent trip to the UN.
There’s just so much to love about this snap alongside the World Cup, Champions League and 2007 Ballon d’Or winner Kaka.
I wonder if they had a game of heads and volleys after?
