Things got very dangerous in the streets of the capital last night...
Argentina fans were left in despair following their 1-0 extra-time defeat to Germany in the World Cup Final last night and some supporters vented their frustration and anger on the streets of Buenos Aires following the game.
Some sections of the crowd who gathered in the city centre to watch the match starting rioting and looting after the game ended. There were rocks and other objects were thrown at police, who had to use tear gas and water cannons to diffuse the situation.
Local media are reporting that a least 15 police officers were wounded and more than 50 people detained in the unrest that followed Argentina's defeat.
