You have to feel sorry for Alan O’Flynn.
Alan was training from Cobh Wanderers last Wednesday when he was struck in the face by the ball. Happens all the time, you might think, but there was no way he was going to shake this one off.
The ball fractured Alan’s cheekbone and he then got an infection in the injury, causing his face to swell up to twice its size.
Nasty, nasty stuff.
