Premier League delivers official statement following Old Trafford bomb threat

Bomb squad called and game abandoned.

Amid reports that an Army bomb disposal squad has been called to Old Trafford for the detonation of 'controlled explosion', the Premier League has confirmed that the threat is indeed legitimate. The organisation claims the decision to evacuate Old Trafford today was made because the "safety of supporters" is of "foremost" importance.
