This should be interesting.
From 2019-2020 onward, the English football league will have a mid-season break.
A two-week break will take place in February, and would be organised so that Premier League matches would still be played every weekend over the period.

This would mean that during the break, there would be five games on one weekend, and five on the next. So that every team will get some sort of break.
Another change is that The FA Cup fifth round games will move to mid-week, with no replays.
Managers have complained for years about the build-up of games, and the toll that it can take on players. Pep Guardiola most recently stated that the festive period was “killing” his players.
For this reason, the Premier League players and managers alike will surely be delighted by the news, but the English press are going to have to come up with a new excuse as to why they aren’t winning any major tournaments now.
