Following on from Ireland’s incredible success against New Zealand at Aviva Stadium last weekend, it’s a great chance to celebrate so many of Ireland’s top players starting off their rugby journeys with amateur clubs.
Long before their recent successes against the All Blacks, the likes of Johnny Sexton, Iain Henderson and Conor Murray were finding their footing at a grassroots level, showing just how important amateur clubs are when it comes to producing some of Ireland’s biggest sporting stars.
