WATCH: Robbie Henshaw and family play a few tunes live on TG4 from the Fleadh Cheoil in Ennis

The man can play... and not just rugby.

Conor Heneghan

Robbie Henshaw

Robbie Henshaw is a man of many talents.

His ability with a rugby ball has seen him shine in the colours of Connacht, Leinster, Ireland and the Lions in recent years and his musical background has also been well-documented.

A love of traditional music runs strong in the Henshaw family and as such, it was no surprise to see them at Fleadh Cheoil na hEireann 2017 in Ennis over the weekend.

It might be slightly bigger and more cumbersome than a rugby ball, but Robbie handled the box accordion with no little class and style as he played a few tunes with his family live on TG4, having first answered a few questions about his musical background and rugby career, including life with the Lions earlier this summer.

Give it a listen below, it’s impressive stuff.

Today (Monday, August 21) is the last day of the Fleadh so if you’re in and around Ennis and want to check it out, you can find more information on the official website.
