The assistant manager plays down the popularity of the Irish team.

Speaking to the media on Sunday morning, Roy Keane insists that going out for a coffee or a meal in Dublin is fine, as “we’re not One Direction.”

Keane clearly doesn’t appreciate the media storm that envelops Darren Randolph and Richard Keogh every time they bend over to tie their shoelaces.

Meanwhile, the bearded one (yes, it’s back) refused to comment on the storm that took place in a teacup on Wednesday evening in a Portmarnock hotel. Which is probably for the best.
