The nominees for Young Irish Sportsperson of the Year have been announced too.

It has been a fairly impressive year for sports teams in Ireland.

We’ve had some mammoth successes, and to be honest, the hardest part when discussing them would be deciding who the best team has been.

That will be the job of the RTÉ 2018 Sports Awards panel, who will have to decide their winners by the awards ceremony which will take place this Saturday night.

As well as that, the nominees for the Young Irish Sportsperson of the Year have been announced too.

Here are all of the nominees for the two categories:

  • Cork Camogie
  • Dundalk FC
  • Ireland Rugby
  • Ireland Eventing
  • Dublin Football
  • Limerick Hurling
  • Dublin Ladies Football
  • The O’Donovan Brothers
  • Irish Paralympic Athletics Team
  • Leinster Rugby Team
  • Ireland’s Women Hockey Team
