Samsung presents… some very interesting Leinster Rugby stats

As part of their role as Leinster's Official Technology Partners, Samsung have a lot of data on the team. We asked them for some and they delivered. Throughout the partnership, to further strengthen the demanding squad training programme, Samsung and its technologies are providing greater analytical assistance to the team. We asked them to send us some of the data they gathered and here's what they sent us. We've all wondered just what it is like to be hit in a fierce tackle on the rugby pitch and thanks to Samsung the astonishing G-Forces involved have been captured. As you can see below, compared to what a fighter pilot feels, getting hit hard by a rugby tackle produces even more force on the body. Now we know who the real Top Guns are, eh? Ever thought you have what it takes to play for Leinster? We also got an insight into the average week for a Leinster player and we're pretty sure we couldn't even manage the water intake, never mind the calories. As for the gym stuff, we wouldn't even try. And just in case you were in any doubt, all those perfectly executed line outs, loops and power moves from the base of the scrums don't happen by accident. The hours are seriously put in on the training pitch by the squad.
