Fancy watching Ireland v England over a plate of Wagyu beef and a craft beer?

This time of year, there is only one thing on the minds of rugby fans. Once February comes into focus, the only thing that matters is the Six Nations.

The same can be said every year, but it’s especially true during a World Cup year. Each and every one of the six competing teams will be gunning to make a marker ahead of the global tournament, and the opening round clash of Ireland v England is a mouth-watering prospect.

Even if you’re not one of the 51,000 lucky fans who’ve nabbed themselves a ticket, the whole area around the Aviva Stadium is going to be absolutely bopping. That said, soaking up the atmosphere doesn’t mean you have to scoff down a greasy hot dog or a burger.

There are plenty of great bars and restaurants in that area that will be showing the match. Known as one of Dublin’s finest, Shelbourne Social by Dylan McGrath will be offering a special set menu for the duration of the Six Nations.

Rugby Days at the Shelbourne Social by Dylan McGrath

The brand new Shelbourne Social bar menu is not what you would expect from your average pub. You could start off with a hot curd bread with pulled lamb before tucking into a delicious burger made with the finest wagyu beef you’re likely to find outside of Japan.

They will be showing all the games live on a huge screen at the bar, so you’ll get to enjoy the best of both worlds. You’ll have a wide range of the finest food and drinks to choose from, which is only fitting for a tournament as important as this one.

This is match day dining at its best, but we’re sure you wouldn’t be the only one turning up in an Ireland jersey if you wanted to do so. This is a Rugby Day after all.

Just try to not get any of the wagyu burger’s truffle mayonnaise all over the crest…

Just a rugby ball’s throw from the Aviva Stadium, The Shelbourne Social is kicking off its brand new menu. With all Guinness Six Nations games being shown live, their Rugby Days are a great way to enjoy this year’s tournament.
