It’s the stand-out match in this weekend’s Premier League list of fixtures. Kicking off on Saturday at 5.30pm, we are wetting our lips in anticipation for what we think could be one of the games of the season. Let’s see what could represent value for money with Ladbrokes.

Liverpool are the form team in the league at the moment under the stewardship of Brendan Rodgers. The Ulster man has instilled a new sense of belief within the club, from the players to the fans, that the glory days of yesteryear are within touching distance.

Liverpool v Swansea City - Premier League

Southampton have been a revelation this season. It seems a distant memory when their fans cried foul after the sacking of Nigel Adkins and the subsequent appointment of Mauricio Pochetino in his place.

It’s a very tough one to call, but the draw at 13/5 looks like ridiculously good value. Liverpool are evens to win and the Saints are quoted at 13/5 to take all three points.

Both teams like to attack and with the potency of Liverpool’s attack coupled with their defensive weaknesses which Southampton are more than capable of exploiting, we are expecting goals. A two-all draw at 12/1 is a bet that sticks out to us.

However, if you feel there might be even more goals than that, you can get odds of  15/2 for six goals or more. The first scorer market is obviously dominated by Liverpool’s twin goal threat, Sturridge (pic above) at 4/1 and Suarez at 9/2, with both Jay Rodriguez and Ricky Lambert from Southampton coming in at 8/1. If you fancy both Liverpool players to score, Suarez and Sturridge represent decent value at 10/3.

The half-time/full-time bet is always a popular one and we think Liverpool to lead at half-time and a draw at full-time at 14/1 is the bet to go for.
