Ah, the Galway Races.
The city comes alive at this time of year as everyone gets caught up in the racing, the craic and the lies about how much they won. There’s no better time to head West so we decided to take next week’s SportsJOE Live on the road.
We’re bringing the SportsJOE Live Roadshow to Halo Nightclub in Galway on Wednesday, 2 August, and you could be part of the audience on the night.
Host Colm “Wooly” Parkinson and comedian Damo Clark will be joined by racing great Ruby Walsh, jockey-turned-trainer and racing royalty Joseph O’Brien, and JOE’s Dion Fanning. You can also enjoy the show’s regular features like Conor’s Sketches, the End Line Challenge and the Lottoland Chipping Challenge.
It promises to be a fantastic show and we’re expecting great things from a lively Race Week crowd. At the very least, they’ll probably be the best dressed SportsJOE Live audience that we’ve had to date!
As if the sporting chat and insights weren’t enough of an incentive, there’ll also be some amazing prizes up for grabs. These will include dinner for two in Biteclub pre races, two tickets to the races on a day of your choice and a VIP table including drinks in Halo during race week and also a VIP table in Halo with bottle service for 10 guests.
Halo has a packed schedule of events for Race Week and Wednesday night is no exception. You can stay in Halo and catch the Beat Boutique with Noel Mac, who’ll be playing the very best of disco grooves and Motown classics.
