The An Post Meath Heritage Cycle Tour Comes to Town

After the success of last year, An Post Meath Heritage Cycle Tour returns on July 26th and 27th offering you another chance to ‘Become a Series Cyclist’ with An Post Cycle Series 2014.

After the success of last year, An Post Meath Heritage Cycle Tour returns on July 26th and 27th offering you another chance to ‘Become a Series Cyclist’ with An Post Cycle Series 2014.

Whether you are a recreational cyclist or a would-be Tour de France competitor, this is the event for you. Mark your diary now… Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th July, 2014.

Meath LSP are delighted to join forces yet again with An Post, Irish Sports Council, Cycling clubs from Meath, Meath County Council, Meath Tourism, Civil Defence and the Gardai in bringing you the An Post Meath Heritage Cycle Tour of Meath 2014.

There are four different routes to cater for all levels of cyclist. The Family Spin is 11km in length and is aimed more specifically at families and younger participants. This route will be based in the environs of Trim.

For the recreational cyclist, the Tara Loop route at 50km in length is probably the one for you. It’s a relatively flat route apart from the Hill of Tara section!

The 100km Royal Tour is one for cyclists with a pretty decent level of fitness. It’s quite a challenging route and will lead back to Trim.

For the experienced cyclist who has huge levels of fitness, The 160km Royal Challenge is for you. New for 2014 is the climb up Loughanleagh mountain. To complete the challenge, you will need to be very fit and not intimidated by hills!
