Given everything that’s gone on to date, we shouldn’t really be surprised by any news that comes out in relation to the chaotic mess that is Qatar’s hosting of the 2022 World Cup.
Still, there was a pretty sizeable reaction this morning when it was revealed that the tournament is likely to take place in November and December, with the final potentially being played on December 23, two days before Christmas.
Understandably, a lot of the reaction was damning and FIFA came in for the type of criticism that they really should be getting used to at this stage, but there was plenty of craic to be had as well.
