The JOE v Ladbrokes Football Accumulator Challenge: Week 21

JOE finally managed to gain some ground on Hayley last weekend, so here's hoping the good fortune continues.

JOE

After two near misses last week, here’s hoping we get back on that winning horse this weekend.

Mathieu Flamini has joined Hayley O’Connor’s hate list after his goal for Arsenal denied Manchester City the win and in the process killed her three-team accumulator last week.

As for us, we went for a Chelsea win over Palace, assuming we were safe with that one. Thanks John Terry, thanks a bunch, your OG stopped our treble as the other two legs got home with ease. Sigh.

We’re running out of time to overhaul our punting pro so fingers crossed we take a big chunk out of her lead this week.

Here’s Hayley’s picks for Week 21:

Manchester City to beat Southampton, 1/3

The Saints are no pushovers, but City have the title in their sights and will be the much more motivated team.

Fulham to beat Aston Villa, 13/5

Yes Fulham are a bit rubbish but they showed a decent bit of fight against Everton last week and I reckon they could snaffle a rare away win.

Manchester United to beat Newcastle, 19/20

After performing very well against Bayern, I think David Moyes’ lads can get an away win at rudderless Newcastle.

That comes in at a little over 9/1, and a win there will put me well in front.

And here’s JOE picks:

Cardiff and Crystal Palace to draw, 11/5

This has relegation one pointer each written all over it.

Chelsea to beat Stoke, 1/4

After what must have been a serious bollocking they took off Jose in midweek, there is no way Chelsea are doing this.

Liverpool to beat West Ham, 4/9

That Liverpool juggernaut isn’t going to stop at the hands of West Ham.

That treble comes to just over 6/1, and we are quietly confident this week.
