The JOE v Ladbrokes Football Accumulator Challenge: Week 22

After Hayley landed another big treble last week, we're in serious trouble as the end of the season approaches unless we start to win big quickly. Here's hoping we start this week.

After Hayley landed another big treble last week, we’re in serious trouble as the end of the season approaches unless we start to win big quickly. Here’s hoping we start this week.

Hayley O’Connor of Ladbrokes’ bold move last week was to plump for a Fulham win away at Aston Villa. Finally showing signs of life under Felix Magath, the Cottagers did the business, and with both Manchester clubs also skating home, a very tasty 9/1 treble was in the bag for our more than worthy foe.

Our brave pick, a draw between strugglers Crystal Palace and Cardiff, was miles off, scuppering our hopes.

This weekend is dominated by one very big game at the top (Liverpool/Man City) and one very big game at the bottom (Fulham/Norwich). Let’s see who both sides went for

Here’s Hayley’s picks for Week 22:

Crystal Palace to beat Aston Villa, 23/20

The price here is too tempting for a team that has improved so much as the season has progressed.

Fulham to beat Norwich, 23/20

After Fulham were so good to me last week I have to back them again.

Chelsea to beat Swansea, 8/11

By the time Sunday rolls around Chelsea will have their Champions League exertions out of their system and should see off the Swans at the Liberty.

At 8/1 I like this treble a lot

And here are JOE’s picks:

Liverpool and Manchester City to draw, 13/5

There is nothing between both these sides and with so much at stake, it could be a stalemate.

Everton to beat Sunderland, 4/5

As we saw last week, Everton are motoring while Sunderland are spluttering. We see no change to their divergent paths this weekend.

Stoke and Sunderland to draw, 23/10

The most meaningless game of the lot, so it just has to be a draw

At 22/1, this is our most audacious treble yet. Lord knows we need it.
