It is just us or is the League of Ireland on a bit of roll at the moment?
The fortunes of the national team have been a bit iffy at best but meanwhile the football in the league has been absolutely brilliant.
Anyone who attended the recent derby match between Bohs and Rovers at Dalymount Park will testify to what a pulsating game it was. Even better, an English documentary crew was there to capture the atmosphere as part of their European Derby Days’ series.
Copa 90 has documented some of the spiciest local rivalries across Europe but this was one of their favourite.
“Honestly it is one of our best yet,” said Ed Groves’ from Copa 90. “The boys said there was a better atmosphere in Dublin than in some of the fanatical Eastern European destinations we have visited”.
Seriously, put ten minutes aside, enjoy and then try and stop yourself from attending a league game.
