Pretty terrible behavior from the Argentinians, one out and one in for their semi final with Holland and the referee from the Suarez bite game is back in the spotlight…

Just bad form…

It’s fair to say the World Cup semi finals are two mouth-watering ties as Brazil take on Germany and Netherlands face Argentina but the tournament just won’t be the same without Neymar.

The Brazilian superstar suffered a broken vertebrae in their quarter final win over Colombia after Juan Zuniga thought it would be a good idea to jump knee first into Neymar’s back. We are disappointed that he’s been ruled out but the teams left in the competition obviously aren’t because they don’t have to face the Barcelona man.

The most happy of all seem to be to the Argentina fans who pretty sickeningly celebrated the injury by dancing around with a plastic spine…

Mixed injury news for the Argies…

Those Argentina fans won’t be so smart this morning when they find out that Angel Di Maria has been ruled out of their semi final with Holland. The Real Madrid star picked up a thigh strain in their quarter final win over Belgium (we don’t expect to see Brazilian fans dancing with plastic thighs) so he misses the last four clash.

That blow is softened somewhat by the news that Sergio Aguero is back fit. He hasn’t played since the group stage win over Nigeria but says he has shaken off his hamstring injury and is good to go.

Where do we recognise this guy from…

The officials have been confirmed for the World Cup semi finals and Mexican whistle-blower Marco Rodriguez has been selected to take charge of Brazil and Germany. Marco was at the centre of the most controversial incident in football since Luis Suarez bite on Branislav Ivanovic last year, that being Luis Suarez bite Giorgio Chiellini.

It’s just his third game of the tournament and he is bound to be pretty nervous about it considering the controversy he found himself in after that game between Italy and Uruguay. He better brace himself for a backlash if things go wrong…
