A football match briefly interrupted some players’ summer holidays today, and it really wasn’t good.
Ireland v England at the Aviva Stadium may have had quite the build-up, but from the first minute to the last it was a tedious game with chances at a premium.
It really was awful, with more interest generated by the people watching the match – including Jack Charlton – than those playing it.
It finished 0-0.

Its a poor game when you can hear the clicking of the photographers cameras behind the goal on the commentary. #IREvENG
