If this EPG listing is anything to go by, we’ve been watching the Tour de France on the wrong channel.
One of the joys of every summer is settling in for a few hours of Tour de France watching each day in July. Sure the race has its problems and with the weather so good it is hard to commit to spending four or five hours indoors watching people ride bikes up a mountain but still, we love the Tour warts and all.
But perhaps we’ve been missing a trick watching it live. Perhaps we would have even more fun watching the highlights show on ITV.
On their listings for last night, as tweeted by @Lennym, the show had a warning that almost certainly boosted the viewing figures.
“Scenes of a sexual nature”? I can only assume that the people at @itvcycling *really* like bikes. pic.twitter.com/wynj7952sw

We can imagine the language but we’re not quite sure what sort of ‘scenes of a sexual nature’ might occur during a bike race.
We’ll be tuning in tonight to find out though…
