Kenny Dalglish: A bona fide Kop legend.
Liverpool fans all over the world will be excited to know that there is a feature film all about arguably the club’s best ever player, Kenny Dalglish, coming soon.
Dalglish is one of the most popular men to ever walk through the doors of Anfield. He is an authentic Kop legend with a glittering career as both a player and manager of the club, and fans will be keenly anticipating the release of this film.
Signed from Celtic back in 1977 to replace former hero and Kop idol, Kevin Keegan, Dalglish went on to surpass the achievements of Keegan and cement his place in Liverpool folklore as one of the club’s greatest ever players.
Simply entitled Kenny, the film details the highs and lows he encountered both as a player and a manager and of course, the tragic time around the Hillsborough disaster.
Featuring interviews with former team-mates Ian Rush, Alan Hansen and John Barnes and also an input from his former nemesis, Sir Alex Ferguson.
The trailer is here and it looks like compelling viewing for any football fan, especially Liverpool fans. The film will be available to buy on DVD from November 20th.
