
TV3 has secured the exclusive rights to show Champions Cup Rugby in Ireland

TV3 has officially secured the rights to show Champions Cup rugby on free-to-air television for the next four years.
The station will show nine games per season from the 2018-19 campaign until 2021-22, with the agreement including a quarter final, semi final and final.
This will mark the first time that European rugby has been freely available for Irish viewers since RTÉ lost the rights to broadcast the competition back in 2006.

At present, Irish viewers can only view the cup on either Sky Sports or BT Sport.
Having already secured the rights to broadcast the Six Nations for the first time this season, on top of showing the 2015 Rugby World Cup, the station's stronghold on the current national coverage increases.
Although the 2019 Japanese World Cup will be exclusively shown on Eir Sports.
