TWEET: GAA star has a great reply to Sonny Bill Williams’ tribute to the Irish fans

Nice words from the All Black's winger

Nice words from the All Black’s winger.

If you’re anyway like me then I’d imagine that the majority of words that you’re bound to hear about Ireland’s defeat to Argentina are sounding a little bit hollow right now because the fact is, another Rugby World Cup semi-final has escaped our reach.

The 43-20 defeat to Argentina was as comprehensive as it was heartbreaking but most rugby fans will now be putting their support behind another countries bid to lift Webb Ellis.

After a stuttering start it seems that New Zealand have finally arrived at World Cup 2015 because the defending champions absolutely destroyed France 62-13 in their quarter-final.

Sonny Bill Williams didn’t cross the whitewash at the Millennium Stadium but it seems that the All Black’s star has been a key observer of Ireland’s games at the tournament.

The devastating wing/centre took to Twitter to express just how much he will miss the Ireland supporters at the Rugby World Cup.

After seeing the tweet, Mayo forward Aidan O’Shea couldn’t resist the urge to give Sonny Bill a unique insight into how Irish supporters drown their sorrows.

Top marks to the Chiefs and Breaffy men here.
