Walters for President!
Do you remember what the general mood was like for Irish football fans before Scotland kicked-off in Georgia back in early September? What a difference a few weeks can make!
The boys in green now have their Euro 2016 fate in their own hands following a famous win against Germany at the Aviva and once again, Jon Walters played a key role.
The Stoke City player is quickly becoming a cult-hero among Irish fans for his combative, fully committed and never say die attitude on the pitch but away from it, he’s proven himself to be a star on Twitter also.
After the match, Walters couldn’t help but have a small bit of fun at the expense of Leicester’s German defender Robert Huth. The two players were former teammates at Stoke City and I’m pretty sure that Walters enjoyed sending this tweet to the 19 times capped German defender.
