Was a draw a fair result?
We don’t have an All-Ireland champion for 2016 just yet as Mayo and Dublin played out a 2-09 to 15 points draw in Croke Park today.
Two own goals in the opening half from Mayo were to prove key in the outcome of this game as Mayo had to battle valiantly to try and pull back the deficit.
It was everything you wanted in the All-Ireland Final with guts, intensity and a fair amount of passion shown by both sides.
Here’s how people reacted to the result…
What. A. Game. Mayo never deserved to lose that. **ding ding -Round 2**.
I'm away for a lie down… 😧 #AllIrelandFinal #DUBvMAYO

Lads. The important thing here is… does Michelle Mulhern have a ticket to the replay? Should we start looking for her now?

Should have been Mayo's day. Referee had an absolute shocker.

No one deserved to lose? I'd say neither deserved to win. Here's to a better quality (and hopefully drier) game #DUBvMAYO

Great drama but not great quality in the #AllIrelandFinal but a draw a fair result so #DUBvMAYO go again

Aogán Ó Fearghaíl thinking of the money from a replay. The GAA will never do away with replays #DUBvMAYO #AllIreland pic.twitter.com/RqL47mYyYE
