Incredible stuff.
At the very least, Dundalk will be playing Europa League football this season after a stunning victory over BATE Borisov on a truly historic night at Tallaght Stadium.
Thanks to a comprehensive 3-0 victory on the night – sealed with goals from David McMillan (2) and Robbie Benson – Stephen Kenny’s men claimed a 3-1 aggregate win over a club who have featured regularly in the Champions League in recent years, an achievement that should not be underestimated.
In the process, Dundalk qualified for the Champions League play-offs and ensured that, at a minimum, they will be playing in the Europa League this season.
Not only that, but they ensured a payday of at least €5.4 million while doing so, a windfall beyond the wildest dreams of teams in the League of Ireland.
And, it was no more than they deserved. It will take a while to truly sink in, but here is some of the best immediate reaction to a truly memorable night for Dundalk and for football in this country.
Hearty congratulations to all involved.

This would be a remarkable result for Dundalk. Last time this amount of money came to Dundalk, there was a fleet of sirens after it.
